Brightons Heroic Comeback Earns Everton A Draw In Exciting Match

Brighton and Everton played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Amex Stadium on Sunday.

The Seagulls came from 3-1 down to level the scores in the last 10 minutes after Gylfi Sigurdsson had put the Toffees ahead with two goals.

Brighton opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Alexis Mac Allister’s shot was blocked, but the ball fell kindly for Pascal Groß to fire home.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised for Everton in the 21st minute, heading in from close range. Sigurdsson then put the visitors ahead just before half-time, firing in from the edge of the box.

The Icelandic midfielder made it 3-1 just after the hour, finishing off a well-worked move.

But Brighton were undeterred and Yves Bissouma pulled one back with a stunning strike in the 80th minute.

And with time running out, substitute Danny Welbeck tapped in from close range to secure an incredible draw for the hosts.

The result sees Brighton move up to 15th in the Premier League table, while Everton stay in seventh place.
